Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an Lead Dynamics Analyst/Developer to work onsite at John Deere’s facility in East Moline, IL. This is a contingent position expected to last 1 year.   

As a Lead IT Analyst/Developer you will provide Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations development and support to partner in the planning, delivery and/or support of business processes utilizing information technology and business practices for strategic business units. In addition, you will:

  • Act as the Lead Developer for a small development team (6 or fewer members)
  • Implement an automated development pipeline that leverages the Microsoft Azure Dev Ops platform to automate the build and automate the test validation of a build
  • Coordinate a branching strategy for multiple development teams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software bugs, data, and system configuration issues.
  • Act as a leader with such duties as resenting technical ideas and approaches to peers or the IT team, participate in design and code reviews, and mentor or train less experienced team members.
  • Participate as required to design, develop, test and integrate applications of high complexity
  • Apply information analyses to optimize the integration of major strategic business processes
  • Design and implement complex changes impacting several processes with minimal direction
  • Have expanded contact with responsibility to varied and multiple departments and functional operations, and actively participate in strategic business relationships.
  • May plan work and schedules for others for project related work

What Skills You Need

  • 2+ years of experience in leading a development team
  • 4+ years of experience developing Microsoft Dynamics AX customizations
  • 1+ years of experience developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
  • 5+ years of experience in programming/software development which involved changes in process
  • 2+ years of experience working with applications, data, infrastructure, and/or IT security
  • 3+ years of work experience in a team environment
  • Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management, performance tuning and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
  • Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions

  • Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience
  • Agile Development and extreme programming practices
