Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a strong Logistics Manager who is highly-motivated and very detail oriented. The Logistics Manager will schedule all inbound/outbound shipments, provide leadership to our warehouse team, and strive to keep transportation costs low. The successful candidate will also be responsible for prioritizing tasks to meet expected shipping dates and maintaining an accurate inventory.   • Oversee the movement, distribution and storage of materials
  • Manage an accurate inventory of warehouse materials
  • Schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments
  • Recruitment and training of warehouse personnel
  • Ensure materials are delivered to sites in a timely manner as per clients’ criteria
  • Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs
  • Ensure that all materials are received/delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Negotiate rates with carriers
  • Prepare employee schedules and ensure warehousing and distribution workers follow safety rules
  • Maintain customer service logs and safety records
  • Work to improve the efficiency of the company’s supply chain
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


  • Proven working experience in logistics management from 3+ years
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of consumer goods industry
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Developing and Tracking Budgets
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory management software
