Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Lead Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team. They will leverage diagnostic, engineering, and technical skills to maximize production of plant machinery and equipment for the manufacturing facility. They will also interact with the production team to do basic preventative maintenance work and identify potential issues with equipment. Responsible for the site utilities & manufacturing equipment maintenance with the overall goal of improving productivity, food safety systems, overall plant reliability while minimizing labor and overhead costs. Manage and collaborate on all local capital and insure the highest levels of safety, quality and regulatory compliance in all maintenance project work.


  • Manage day-to-day operations of the maintenance team
  • Responsible for delivering on metrics such as Schedule attainment, PM attainment, backlog, budget, downtime
  • Resolve issues throughout equipment life cycle, improve reliability through RCFA’s and FMEA analysis
  • Perform capacity planning and provide solutions to meet continued growth
  • Evaluate and document operations, work area design, process flow and work methods for improved efficiency
  • Manage and coordinate vendor services, and setup vendor contracts
  • Generate reports that track Maintenance spend, Preventative Maintenance vs Reactive Maintenance and Utilities Consumption and Optimization
  • Lead and optimize the use of continuous development of the plant CMMS system in the effort of tracking maintenance work, automatically generating preventative maintenance requests and ensure the system works in compliance with Quality standards and plant procedures
  • Develop, maintain, and implement departmental procedures in compliance with SQF standards
  • Negotiate equipment and spare parts purchases to achieve best possible terms
  • Managing plant capital projects under $200K
  • Develop training program to technicians to improve their knowledge of plant equipment. Use OEM resources to setup lunch and learns + specific training from OEM’s on troubleshooting
  • Maintain a strong system of critical spare parts to ensure quick recovery during equipment breakdowns


  • 4+ years of Maintenance leadership position in Food, Pharmaceutical or other CPG industries
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. SAP experience a plus.

  • Ability to work collaboratively for a common goal and to build partnerships up and down the Organization
