Direct Hire opportunity for a Maintenance Manager !! Located in Vernon CA.

We need a great Leader to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant and is responsible for the facility maintenance. This includes long-term planning & scheduling of all preventive maintenance activities.

We need a Manager that possess the ability to create an environment that empowers employees to drive change and improve systems. You have to have the ability to hire and train employees on complex Maintenance work and repairs.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports & contributes to a healthy and safe work environment by closing existent safety gaps or prevent them from occurring, from a machine safety design standpoint. 
  • Directly supervises the maintenance team members & build a multi-skilled team by hiring, coaching, training, directing, and managing performance.
  • Tracks expenditures, labor costs, ensure compliance with plant and dept. budgets.
  • Manages vendor relationships to ensure project goals are met. Manages expenditures, equipment delivery, equipment performance specifications (safety, throughput, equipment reliability). 
  • Develops, implements, and improves preventive maintenance programs.
  • Provides support to operations to increase machine uptime & productivity throughout the plant.
  • Follows all GMPs, compliance/regulatory mandates and quality requirements.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Direct and Provide oversight to plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute plant maintenance and outage activities to maximize plant availability/capacity.
  • Provide oversight to ensure schedules are developed/executed.
  • Participates in Safety, Environmental continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree 
  • 7-10 years of operations maintenance experience in recycling and plastic manufacturing equipment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of people management experience. Skilled at hiring, coaching and developing individual employees and teams to perform at their best.
  • Strong background in HAACP; safety; GMP; and AIB
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project, must possess strong skills in project management
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, tools, equipment, codes and safety procedures
  •  Familiarity with computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite and CAD (computer-aided design) is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others with effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents.
