Job Description

Volt has an exciting opportunity for Maintenance Mechanic.  We are currently looking for 2 qualified Maintenance Mechanics for a successful company in the Fresno Area!  Must have Electrical experience for one of the positions.  See below for more details!

Job Summary: Set up, troubleshoot, install and repair equipment.  Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment plant wide utilizing procedures and schedules. Examines machines for defects in operation, replaces defective components, makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation and moves heavy machine parts with the aid of hoists, pallet jacks, forklifts or rollers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides emergency/unscheduled and scheduled repairs of production equipment throughout the day.
  • Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Performs technical repairs including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment throughout the facility.
  • Completes preventative maintenance service in all areas of the plant.
  • Disassembles equipment and determines repairs required to make equipment operable.
  • Rebuilds complicated machine tools and special purpose machines and plant equipment
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Operates forklifts, scissor lifts and battery operated pallet jacks.
  • Performs facility maintenance on building, roof, plumbing and electrical.
  • Performs other duties within the department as may be assigned 


 Approximately 3 + years of related experience.  Electrical A/C and D/C experience is preferred.

Must have clean DMV record

Maintenance-related certifications desirable (e.g. welding, fabrication, electrical, refrigeration, hazardous materials).

Pay is up to $31/hour depending on experience.
