Opportunity to work at a global optical lab recognized on the Forbes list of "America's Best Employers."  We have positions available for Maintenance Technicians on 2nd and 3rd shifts.  This is a climate controlled and safety-oriented work environment!

  • Under general supervision, repair and maintain company's properties according to guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Facilities Services Department.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance throughout facilities of a non-technical nature including but not limited to lamp replacement, ballast changes, painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general projects and repairs
  • Responsible for inspections, daily readings, routine work orders and performing preventive maintenance of building systems to minimize operations costs
  • Communicate new ideas and projects to improve the operational efficiency and aesthetics of the buildings and to assure compliance
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
  • Complete preventive maintenance work orders within the guidelines established by the Facilities Department Responsible for completion of daily maintenance activities and logs, including observation and inspection as directed
  • Maintain facilities equipment, parts, supplies, and tools in an orderly manner within designated storage areas


  • One to two years of related building maintenance work experience
  • Knowledge and ability to handle basic building repairs and maintenance
  • Ability to keep up to date and accurate records, documents, and logs
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Complete work orders in a neat and an efficient manner
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to understand and follow explicit instructions, both in verbal and written form
