Volt Workforce Solutions has partnered with Cherry Aerospace to hire for a manufacturing administration position in the city of Santa Ana, Ca. We are looking for candidates who are experienced in  working in a manufacturing environment and are eager to learn ?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manufacturing Administrator performs complex clerical and administrative duties requiring judgment in solving problems and making routine recommendations. Requires knowledge of company policies and practices. Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support for department or organizational unit. May compile and analyze data, prepare reports/recommendations for action by supervisor or manager. Administer programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operating unit served. May serve as administrative liaison with others within the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, human resources, facilities, and operations. Other responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  1. Maintain attendance records and timecards for nonexempt and hourly employees.
  2. Process employee forms, status reports, and change forms.
  3. Maintain all necessary payroll functions for all hourly employees. 
  4. Perform administrative assistant duties for the department Managers and Supervisors. Perform receptionist duties for the department. Perform basic public relations for the department.  
  5. Order supplies and materials for office and manufacturing areas as needed in departments.
  6. Schedule hearing and vision exams. 
  7. Schedule maintenance of office machines and equipment. 
  8. Distribute and pick up department mail.
  9. Performs other HR duties as assigned.

 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
 

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 3 years administrative experience. Ability to perform full administrative assistant duties for several people. Must be flexible and able to adjust to interruptions. Adaptable to changing priorities and concurrent assignments. Must be able to organize tasks and work independently.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  1. Must possess excellent communication skills both oral and written skills required to interface with employees and management personnel.
  2. Candidates must have intermediate skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  3. Must be a detail oriented/organized individual with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  4. Ability to work in a team environment in a manufacturing plant
  5. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  6. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  7. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  8. Ability to respond independently to routine and emergency issues, based on priority and importance of plant operations.       
  9. Ability to be cross trained for other jobs in the department.
  10. Ability and desire to work in a demanding fast paced work environment.  
  11. Ability to maintain confidentially is a must.
