Electricians with Mechanical Assembly Experience Needed

Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring in Carlsbad, CA 

1st shift with pay rates ranging between $25 - $33 / hourly

Temp - to - Hire position!!

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Can you read schematics / drawings?  Are you familiar with what a tolerance is? 
  2. Building from a drawing – have you worked with “E-Drawings” (form Solidworks)
  3. Are you willing and able to follow the Company’s best practices when it comes to their Method of assembly?
  4. How do you handle challenges? Are you a problem solver and take initiative?
  5. Do you have the capability of switching tasks as needed? What is your flexibility like when the Company requires you to change gears and work on different tasks?
  6. What do you do to foster a team environment?

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build, Wire, and test systems from Blue Prints for automated machines
  • Color Vision: Industrial Electricians work with colored wiring and must be able to identify them by sight.
  • Troubleshooting: Industrial electricians must be able to find the root cause of issues and think logically about solutions.
  • Mechanical Skills: Industrial electricians read blueprints and schematics and use an array of tools and diagnostic devices to service and install electrical parts.
  • Repair or install large electrical equipment, like industrial fans, large motors, or control systems. Industrial electricians are there during construction to install and test new equipment and systems, and come to repair or maintain older, pre-existing systems.
  • Include running electronic tests and inspections, cleaning contacts or circuit boards, ensuring that systems are grounded and installing outlets, fixtures and switches. Preventative measures such as oiling motors, bending conduit and replacing old wiring are also among their duties. When electrical systems break down, industrial electricians are responsible for troubleshooting and fixing the problem
  • Check switches, motors, regulators and other parts of an industrial electrical system. Tend to work on hydraulic, pneumatic and other kinds of systems. Work on robotic equipment is common and Industrial Electricians are responsible for maintaining and repairing this type of equipment as well.
