We are actively seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Direct Hire.

Overview & Focus...

  • Mechanical Engineer designs and assists in overseeing manufacturing of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Responsible for developing required design for mechanical projects moderately in complexity or will be delegated parts of major projects.
  • Design scope includes design development, implementation, and validation.
  • Must understand standard required concepts, practices, procedures, safety standards and code compliance requirements necessary for the design of mechanical systems.
  • With general guidance, will be required to develop a design plan and collaborate with team members to establish a schedule for design deliverables.
  • Responsible for assisting with field technical support of equipment and troubleshooting equipment performance problems.
  • Prepares written specifications for equipment & materials and obtains quotes.
  • Some travel is required in the field.

Qualifications needed for consideration...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3- 5yrs experience in a Project Engineer Role
  • Design knowledge based in the following:
    • Heat transfer and thermodynamics principles
    • Combustion principles
    • Fluid systems; line, component and pump sizing
    • Fan and blower sizing
    • Combustion gas train selection and sizing
    • Convergent-Divergent Nozzles
    • Pressure vessel design – ASME section I, II, VIII and IX
    • Materials [Compatibility (Ferrous, Non-ferrous, elastomers, etc.); Corrosion; Strengths]
    • Cast parts
    • Industrial Wiring
    • Electrically hazardous locations
    • Simple circuit design
    • PLC knowledge
    • Computer: Excel, AutoCAD and SolidWorks
    • Must have hands-on mechanical experience & skilled with being able to dismantle and rebuild any mechanical component
    • Must have excellent communication and writing skills
