General Laborer/Power Industrial Vehicle Position Opening!!

Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for a qualified candidate for a General Laborer/ Power Industrial Vehicle position. This company is one of the world leaders in innovative manufacturing. This position is located in Moncure, NC. 

Monday-Friday, 1st/2nd/3rd shifts available; must be flexible to rotate weekends; $16.50/hr

JOB SUMMARY

Employee will be responsible for cross training and operating the mixing equipment, Tripper floor within the coloring department, operating in C&S (Screen changes, Quality Test, etc.). Once Training completed in shipping, you will be put into weekend rotation for shipping coverage.

Perform and analyze results of standard and non-standard test on manufacturing process and make appropriate decisions. Interact and communicate with other team members regarding process.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform quality test and prepare documentation
• Perform visual inspections and preventive maintenance on conveyors, bag houses, etc.
• Work with Process Technicians to make adjustments as necessary
• Communicates with team members regarding equipment startups, shutdowns and adjustments
• Work with Engineers to implement process improvement programs and equipment processes.
• Must be able to use powered industrial vehicles (PIV)
• Responsible for housekeeping in work area.
• Regular and predictable attendance is a responsibility of the employee.
• Works all scheduled overtime.
• Strives for continuous improvements in both processes and people through un-relenting quality improvement and cost reduction.
• Empowered to make decisions in support of the manufacturing process.
• Performs other duties as assigned to promote a team effort in achieving department goals.

Experience/Qualifications

Required: Experience in a manufacturing environment, above average computer skills and Basic Math Skills.
Preferred PIV experience preferred.
