SUMMARY: Manages, coordinates, and oversees a large staff of about 30 employees with four to five direct reports. Responsible for office operations and activities. Knowledge of cash and accrual accounting, as well as direct and indirect costing is also needed to perform this job.


  • Manage office personnel (with the assistance of Department Supervisors), workload, and re-assign duties as needed.
  • Approve schedule of days off in conjunction with Department Supervisors. 
  • Direct supervisor for receptionist.  Assign duties as needed.  Oversee mail runs, purchases.
  • Maintains Sr Managements company calendars
  • Oversee the physical office building. Report any issues to appropriate Managers.
  • Manages central filing system and oversees organization of archived files.
  • Assist CFO with cost accounting support.
  • Generate monthly/weekly cost reports.
  • Oversee Vendor Payments, changing cost centers after final planting.
  • Inter-company billings monthly and oversight for internal costing
  • Maintain monthly operation cost information.
  • Verify customer income by commodity monthly.
  • Create and review controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems.
  • Validate cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close process.
  • Prepare report on margins by product and by customer
  • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing on spending variances.


  • 5-7 years of accounting/finance experiences
  • 5-7 years of experience managing office staff
  • BA/BS in accounting/business preferred, open to equivalent of education/experience in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency with computer software necessary to perform duties (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, etc).
  • Bilingual skills a plus (English & Spanish), but not required.
