Job Description

Volt's client, a manufacturing company, is looking for a Plant Maintenance Planner for a contract opening for estimated 12 months located onsite in Monroe, NC.

Position description:

Independently, administers and coordinates site-specific Plant Engineering projects, emergency and planned work and/or programs, tool crib inventory, including participating in and recommending/identifying capital equipment purchases and installation.

Acts as Sourcing Partner, following Sourcing organization policies and procedures to execute capital equipment purchases. Provides financial analysis to project managers. Provides technical expertise and acts as a statistical resource/coach for the Plant Engineering Organization.

• Lead the development, implementation and the maintenance of a cost-effective PM Program.
• Lead the development, implementation and the maintenance of a cost-effective Work Order System.
• Lead the development, implementation and track tool crib inventory accuracy.
• Screen work request for necessity, clarity of intent, completeness, functional location, cost center and equipment availability, and following up as necessary
• Serve as the point person in coordinating all work to be performed with the department requesting the work. With the Plant Engineering Manager, ensures that the work performed is effective and appropriate.
• Estimate labor, materials and other costs for maintenance projects.
• Complete job assessments and coordinate services required
• Establish and maintain written and electronic records for estimating departmental performance indicators and standards.

Basic Qualifications:
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Engineering discipline.
