Job Description

Prepare complex strategic pricing schedules based on management pricing strategies; queries and reports national account data to be analyzed by management; analyze sales, profitability and mark-up for national accounts and prepare summarized reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review detailed customer request for proposal documents to determine bid pricing requirements and risk factors; summarize customer’s temporary staffing usage.
  • Setup and lead conference calls/meetings for senior and executive management stakeholders to determine pricing strategies for each proposal.
  • Implement stakeholder bid pricing strategies while completing complex proposal pricing worksheets; utilize advance functions of Excel to ensure efficiencies and accuracy while insuring deadline management of concurrent projects.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of assumptions and stakeholder decisions for each bid.
  • Utilize pay rate tools and databases to determine applicable pay rates by position and geography.
  • Utilize various reporting tools including VISTA and PeopleSoft queries to obtain internal customer data.
  • Develop positive relationships working with executive management, corporate departments, managers and field offices.
  • Complete timely data entry of required data into Volt’s systems; maintain consistency and integrity of data.
  • Identification of enhanced department tools and efficiencies; assist with development and maintenance.
  • Assist with various special projects as needed by Volt Corporate and division management or branch offices.
  • Prepare various monthly, quarterly and yearly reports that summarize profitability and sales activity for national accounts.
  • Audit national account sales and rates by customer location and report findings.
  • Communicate with branch offices (verbal or written) to research information and/or to provide pricing guidelines.
  • Develop positive relationships working with corporate departments, managers and field offices.
  • Mentor and train others within the company regarding pricing concepts, strategies and tools.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours at times due to customer bid requirements.
  • Ability to arrive to work at a specified time.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform special assignments/complete projects as needed.

Position Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Degree: BA/BS degree or equivalent, plus at least 1+ year professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of reporting systems and practices.
  • Staffing industry experience preferred but not required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Effectively communicate in writing.
  • Effectively communicate verbally including by telephone.
  • Effectively communicate in-person with internal staff, external customers and field employees.
  • Excellent PC skills; advanced knowledge of MS Excel and intermediate knowledge of MS Word are a must.
  • Prioritize concurrent projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail and accountability for accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to research and report findings.
  • Strong critical thinking skills; ability to drive decisions from executive leaders on conference calls.
  • Ability to organize data and thoughts verbally and on paper.
  • Work efficiently and independently in a dynamic environment.
