Job Description

We are looking to hire an Aerospace Process Technician - Titanium-Etching for our Client in the Aerospace industry for approximately a 12 months contract in Oakville, ON through Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.

  • Term: 2019-01-21 to 2020-01-21; approximately 12 month contracts
  • Number of Openings: 3 positions required:
    • 1 for the DAY SHIFT (7 AM - 3 PM EST between Mon-Fri)
    • 1 for the AFTERNOON SHIFT (3 PM - 11 PM EST between Mon-Fri)
    • 1 for the NIGHT SHIFT (11 PM - 7 AM EST between Mon-Fri)
  • Pay Rate: $23.65 - $27.62 (depending on experience) (T4) + benefits available

Note: The position is for our Clients' Surface Finishing department to do Titanium Etch.

Job Duties:

• Titanium Etching and shot peening aircraft components during the manufacturing process;
• Shot peen parts per process techniques, operation sketches and special handler instructions, to include, but not limited to loading/unloading of shot peen machines and airflow, intensity and pressure techniques
• Read OP sketches and work instructions to identify with requirements
• Maintain acceptable production, quality levels, and departmental equipment, as well as practice safety in the workplace and maintain good housekeeping
• Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum requirements include Grade 12 diploma or equivalent with 2+ yrs of outside experience
• At least 2 years of related manufacturing experience
• Previous formal crane training required
• Demonstrated experience with ti etching and shot peening would be considered an asset
• Strong PC skills
• Demonstrated experience in material handling and crane/hoist operations required
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to work well in a team
