Process Technician in Peoria, IL at Volt

We are currently looking for a Process Technician:

Duties:

• Operate, control and monitor various process equipment including make-up tanks, fermenters, conveyors, rotary valves, pneumatic blowers, pumps, tanks, process piping valves and controls, dryers, scrubbers, centrifuges and evaporators, boilers, turnbine/generator, filters, etc.
• Apply aseptic protocols and practices for sanitation 
• Observe process control parameters utilizing distributed control system and or field installed local gauges
• Obtain samples, perform physical, analytical and microbiological tests; record data and follow established protocols to make process adjustments to maintain established parameters; provide input and recommendations related to findings
• Perform tasks in confined areas and or inside tanks at heights in extreme temperatures due to weather and process conditions

Skills:

• 2-4 years experience working within the chemical, vegetable oils or pharmaceutical manufacturing
• High School graduate or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Chemistry or Biology background preferred
• Ability to work 12 hour shift, working an equal number of days and nights over a 4 week interval. Possibly required to provide coverage on other shifts than the assigned shift.
