Job Description




  1. Work within a team-based manufacturing cell to assemble and test complex, small-form electronics.
  2. Prepare for operator duties by attentively reviewing verbal instructions, work orders, production drawings, assembly instructions, and sample assemblies.
  3. Perform inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  4. Efficiently assemble and test devices to the KPI set for timeliness and quality.
  5. Recognize and document errors and quality issues within the products.
  6. Successfully learn new products assemblies and testing.
  7. Maintain the stations for cleanliness and safety.
  8. Follow all plant safety, material handling and efficiency guidelines (e.g., ESD, 5S, OSHA, etc.).
  9. Maintain a record of good and timely attendance. 

Basic Qualifications

  1. One year of relevant work experience with a preference for electronics manufacturing or assembly
  2. High School diploma or its equivalent
  3. Documented ability to understand and follow technical instructions drafted or communicated in English
  4. Documented ability to recognize critical quality errors and escalate appropriately
  5. Ability to document issues in English
  6. Demonstrated ability to assemble delicate, small-form technical components in a manner that promotes timely results, a high-quality product, and efficiency.
  7. Proven ability to work effectively and productively in a cell-based manufacturing team
  8. Demonstrated basic computer skills (e.g., keyboard, mouse, open browser, launch applications, communicate via email).
  9. Proven basic math skills (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions).
  10. Proven steady employment history that indicates timeliness and good attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

Documented ability to be trained on multiple seats within a cell-based manufacturing environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  1. Ability to Sit, Stand, or crouch and bend for Eight or More Hours per Day
  2. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
  3. Extensive use of hands in writing, assembling small-form electronics, and the use of a computer for eight or more hours per day.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate in person and through emails.
  5. Ability to read, analyze and interpret assembly instructions for eight or more hours per day.
  6. Ability to write reports and simple correspondence.
  7. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and fractions.
  8. Ability to wear and maintain the appropriate PPE devices
  9. Ability to interpret and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists.
