VOLT’s client is looking for a Project Manager AMI

Activities include the following:

Deployment

  1. Responsible for tactical execution and completion of Smart Meter exchanges utilizing the deployment contractor and Avista electric and gas shops following the meter deployment schedule
  2. Plan and maintain deployment route strategies with collaboration from contract meter exchanger, Avista shops, and tactical analyst
  3. Responsible for the execution and reporting of field safety checks
  4. Primary resource for deployment issue escalation and management
  5. Conduct weekly status meetings with the core deployment team
  6. Responsible for electrical permitting and labor union compliance
  7. May answer customer inquiries, construction scheduling concerns, general questions and complaints.

Customer Management

  1. Responsible for administering customer claims process
  2. Responsible for the execution and adherence of the customer prior notification process regarding gas and electric repairs

Reporting

With support from the tactical business analyst:

  1. Operate and maintain the deployment status dashboard
  2. Provide deployment status updates, reports, and ad-hoc data requests to project stakeholders.

 Project Management

With support from the Meter Deployment Project Manager and Program Manager:

  1. Ensure that deployment activities and vendor performance are adhering to respective contract
  2. Responsible for deployment velocity forecast updates and resulting supply chain equipment forecasting and requisitioning
  3. Primary liaison with contractors
  4. Assists the project manager in process improvements, creating, updating, and tracking the project schedule and budget.
  5. Updates deployment schedule and tracks key milestones
  6. Issue and Risk logging
  7. Decision Logging

Requirements:

The Project Manager position I requires a Bachelor’s Degree and up to three years of related project manager experience.  Project management Professional (PMP) certification and/or advanced degree preferred.  Strong working knowledge of key operation business processes and core applications preferred. (EPM, SharePoint).  The ability to interpret and explain complex business processes and concepts.  Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook and MS Project.  Ability to communicate effectively through a variety of mediums and to varied audiences.  Excellent planning, problem solving and solid relationship building required.  Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments, prioritize and to manage team and personal dynamics to drive projects forward.  Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
