Reputable and well known Food Manufacturer in Fresno CA is in search of hiring a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to oversee a team of 10 great employees on the Quality Team. You must have Meat Processing/Manufacturing Experience

You Must have BRC Experience 

You Must have 3-5 years of Management experience 

You must be a people person, be approachable, calm and have great communication skills. Overseeing your team and helping them be successful should involve you being a great mentor to them.

Requirements & Responsibilities;  

  • Quality inspections, employee training & coaching 
  • Knowledgeable with food laws, regulations as well as HACCP plant plans 
  • Food safety & regulatory affairs (HACCP, GMP, BRC, Pest Control, SSOP, SOP, Hold & release Products)
  • Must be able to manage 10 employees successfully, with great communication, teamwork and efficiency. 
  • Attend to customer complaints, services, returns & replacements with a positive attitude 
  • Oversee plant audits and regulatory compliance agency interaction (USDA) 
  • Oversee employee schedule and timekeeping/time-card attendance systems 
  • Working knowledge of LSAS/USDA Label Approval systems 
  • String Microbiology & Sanitation process knowledge 
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency 
  • Bachelors Degree in Food Science preferred, or Food/Biology Sciences or related 
  • HACCP & Internal Audit Certifications 
  • 3-5 years RTE (Ready-To-Eat) experience in QA Management  or Supervision 
  • BRC, Organic, Gluten Audit experience 
  • Meat Facility experience with emphasis in Ready to Eat processes
  • Any USDA label regulation and label submittal process experience. 
  • Root Cause Analysis and environmental tracking.  
  • Experience with physically managing floor production and hourly checks/QA reps.
