Job Description

Our client, based in Culver City, is seeking a QA Tester for an immediate opportunity!

This position is working will be at an exciting computer game development company.  The Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for testing our in-house automation tools across a large number of different mobiles games on multiple platforms. This will include writing, running and maintaining test scripts, administering testing tools and documenting defects in the tools or apps they are run on. Additionally, the Automation Test Engineer will be expected to train QA testers in the proper user and creation of automation testing scripts.

What you will do:

  • Create and test automation test scripts across multiple products
  • Identify, document and verify bugs in automation tools
  • Create test cases and test plans for automation tools
  • Provide feedback and drive improvements in automation tools
  • Create and update process for how the automation tools framework is used both internally and with our external partners.
  • Identify and implement automation tests within the project build pipeline, outline the process for this on each project team
  • Think creatively in applying automation solutions to app testing
  • Train QA testers and project teams internally and externally in using automation tools
  • Work directly with a wide variety of developers from multiple studios around the world
  • Work in a multi-functional, highly collaborative, development team

What you will need:

  • 1+ years of experience writing, running and maintaining automated test scripts
  • Thorough understanding of automated testing best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with bug and test case tracking tools
  • Strong critical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of organization and self-motivation
  • Willingness to learn a broad set of QA skills, from test case creation to analytic testing
  • Ability to break complicated tasks into manageable chunks
  • Ability to work within a dynamic, fast-paced (and sometimes stressful) environment

It is a plus if you have the following (not required):

  • C# Unity Development
  • Web development and web testing
  • Passion for mobile gaming
