Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Coordinator will help with day-to-day Quality activities under the supervision and guidance of Quality Assurance Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interface with customers to ensure that their needs are met while maintaining company and customer quality expectations

• Review policies and procedures for compliance and customer requirements

• Be aware and knowledgeable of QA policies, procedures and metrics

• Develops, implements and maintains quality documentation and metrics including process maps, procedures, standards, process and product specifications

• Monitoring and maintaining training records and ensuring training needs are analyzed and programs are established to meet identified needs

• Assist QA management in the preparation of internal and external audits

• Responding to any product quality related problems that may arise during the manufacturing and shipping processes, whether within the Company’s facility or at a subcontractor

• Reviewing with the Quality Manager and others as necessary, all non-conforming material received from suppliers and subcontractors and determining the actions

required; identifying the root cause, identifying responsibility, verify discrepancy, and generating Non-Conformance Reports and CARS.

• Act as an agency representative on workshops, related to QA issues

• Provide consultation and offer recommendations to managers in addressing identified quality or compliance issues.

• Review and approve/disapprove quality certification packages before shipment to customer.

• Ensure adherence to APP’s policies and procedures, including our code of conduct and ethics policy, product safety, employee safety and cultural beliefs.

• Ensure adherence to all process specifications.

• Support the Plant quality system goals / improvements & productivity goals / improvements within the scope of the job.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma (some college preferred)

• Experience with Material Review Boards and RCCA process

• Experience working in manufacturing organization

• Familiarity with inspection techniques

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel )

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

• Ability to create and present metrics to support quality status and goals

• Good communication and strong writing skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications

• Exceptional team player skills with the ability to work with all levels of the company is a must

• High quality of work; ability to work under pressure

• Provide consultation and offer recommendations to managers in addressing identified quality or compliance issues

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

• Some College

• At least 2-5 years Quality Assurance experience

• AS9100C QMS or TS60949 experience

In lieu of the above, any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the aforementioned knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered at the Company’s discretion.

• Moderate-to-high vibration by industrial machinery and power tools.
