Quality Control Inspector Needed

Immediate Hire for an Experienced Incoming Quality Control inspector

Volt Workforce Solutions is supporting a Manufacturer ins that has been around for over half of a Century. We are lucky enough to have there Headquarters in Vista, Ca. Very stable, growing company, a Manufacturer of Interface Product.

In this role: The Incoming QC Inspector is responsible to ensure the quality of incoming production materials.

This is a 1st shift, 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, long term employment opportunity. Pay range $15.00-20.00/hr DOE

 Responsibilities:

• Daily inspection of received materials: plastic, metal and electronic components.
• Document and communicate of inspection findings.
• Operation and maintenance of measurement equipment (Gauge R&R studies & calibration.
• Support the development of QC inspection procedures.
• Participates in nonconforming material processes, and assists in ongoing supplier control and ISO9001 activities. 
• Performs measurement and data collection in accordance with documented inspection plans, specifications and procedures.
• Conducts visual inspection of electronics components and assemblies, such as PCBAs and wire harnesses, to verify quality of soldering and crimping.
• Compiles component and supplier performance data and assists with supplier quality management; provides ongoing support of supplier quality systems evaluation  
• Tracks quality metrics through charts and graphs and implements appropriate preventive/corrective action to improve quality.

Requirements:

• 2 years of Quality Control experience or two-year College/technical school with related experience and/or training.  
• Must be proficient with a variety of measurement equipment and part materials.  
• Able to read and understand drawings, schematics, blue prints, engineering specifications and inspection criteria.  
• Strong computer skills desired; proficient in use of Microsoft Office.
