Quality Technician

This company located in Wilsonville, Oregon is seeking a Quality Technician for a contract role.

  • Monitors product quality from data collection sources and metric databases.
  • Organizes, triages and addresses complaints from service organization and customer inputs.
  • Collects, enters and manages data from stakeholders into the nonconforming and corrective action databases for disposition and resolution.
  • Maintains gages and instruments through calibration program and schedule.
  • Prepares charts from ERP, MRB, Complaints, Corrective Action and other metric sourced data.
  • Performs routine failure analysis on products and processes.
  • Audits materials and processes following the internal audit schedule.
  • Assists in ensuring regulatory compliance in accordance with documented procedures.
  • Performs inspections using computer aided vision measurement systems, and various handheld measurement tools on received, in-process and final released product.
  • Aids in the development of procedures, work instructions and other process related documentation.
  • Provides assistance for implementation and maintenance of the quality management system.
  • Responsible for maintenance of training matrix, tracking and assignment of quality training.
  • Administrative support to quality initiatives regarding the design process.
  • Supports other quality department activities as directed by the departmental manager.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding or aptitude to understand ISO quality management system requirements and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with computer aided vision measurement systems.
  • Familiarity with commonly used measurement tools such as calipers, pin gages, etc.

  • Experience creating Excel reports and analyzing data, utilizing pivot tables, formulas, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word and familiarity with Electronic Management Systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints (drawings).
  • Experience with SharePoint workflows and data entry a plus.
  • Hands-on experience running queries on existing data sources and use of technical skills to manipulate the data for analysis and trends.
  • Internal auditing experience or certificate.

Your Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality focused role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience includes inspecting, measuring, evaluating, capturing data, reporting.
  • High School diploma/GED required. Associate’s degree in Quality or Technology a plus.
  • Understanding of GD&T a plus.
