Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking Quality Technician candidates for our client's location in Lincoln, NE.  Start work immediately and grow your career!

Current openings:  

B Shift - 7 pm to 7 am, Sunday through Tuesday with alternating Saturdays

D Shift - 7 pm to 7 am, Wednesday through Friday with alternation Saturdays


Duties for these positions would include: 

• Support material identification, containment, and follow-up support in the event of a red tag event in their area of responsibility. 
• Performing inspection rounds in their areas of responsibility. These would not be to replace the work of the employees doing the work – but would act as a follow-up / confirmation that the inspection processes are being completed correctly. This would include ensuring that material identification is performed correctly, forms / checklists filled out correctly, etc. 
• Perform supplemental line walk in the Plating Area and Waste Water Treatment areas 
• Perform process audits 
• Perform training and certification duties in their areas of responsibility 
• Toll gate inspections for materials going to the lines – or going to sister plants 
• Perform internal ISO audits on the evening / over-night shifts 
• Support Hi-pot testing for new CAFI line on evening / over-night shifts 
• Support pilot run activities for parts supplied from new vendors on the evening / over-night shifts 
• Support qualification activities for new lines, equipment, and training of those elements on the evening / over-night shifts 
• Support implementation / training of new Smart Factory / Smart Quality tools as they become available. Help to ensure that LDS and other existing tools are being used as expected. 
• Other activities that will be identified to address short term needs. 

This job might be for you if you have the following:

• Associates Degree required - Bachelor Degree Preferred 
• Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma 
• Quality inspection, auditing and test experience 
• Experience with implementation of corrective action programs 
• Product or industry-specific experience 
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Databases 
• Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
