Volt is seeking a Recruiter in the San Francisco area. The Recruiter is responsible for supporting the successful selection and hiring of the best talent for the Studio. This position requires an understanding of the various business units and the ability to cultivate an environment of trust and collaboration. This is a temporary contract in the San Francisco/ Bay area for the next 6 months.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure high quality procedures are in place, which are in line with company policy governing recruitment and selection
  • Help build on existing systems to create Recruitment tools including job descriptions, competency profiles and offer letters to improve efficiency and develop uniformity across the organization
  • Support the further development and implementation recruitment methods in order to successfully attract top quality candidates appropriate to the position and company needs
  • Provide coaching and mentoring services to managers to develop recruitment skills in addition to providing input into the matching of potential candidates to suitable positions
  • Identify, screen, interview and recommend candidates for positions
  • Actively develop and maintain applicant tracking database
  • Responsible for placing and drafting job advertisements, liaising with various sources for job advertisements, and assisting in tracking appropriate metrics like cost per hire, etc.
  • Generate the necessary ad-hoc recruiting reports for hiring managers and Human Resources
  • Coordinating and organizing promotion and recruitment efforts targeting potential schools and communities


  • 3-5 years’ experience in recruiting technical or creative candidates within the entertainment/VFX industry and or transferable job skills
  • Experience in consulting and/or working in a consultative role where multiple projects and competing demands are the norm
  • Proven experience contacting high-potential prospects through targeted cold-calling
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as follow-through on multiple-projects
  • Outstanding customer service and proven organizational ability
  • Proven track record in sourcing and recruiting candidates
  • Sophisticated computer skills (Internet research/recruiting, Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel) is required. Experience with Jobvite or Kenexa a plus.
  • Ability to contribute positively in a high-energy, changing environment
  • Uses a computer keyboard at least 75% of total work time
