Senior Hardware Engineer
This person will be responsible for designing, building and continuously improving the state-of-the-art electronic hardware for injection molding equipment. Particular emphasis will be on the PCB design, review, and power electronics’ requirement development, and test.
Responsibilities:
- Power switches and heat sinks selection and sizing: materials, current, voltage, power, thermal, frequency, losses
- Gate drivers design and sizing: turn on/off time, rise/fall time, signal propagation delay, dead time, losses, protection, current sinking, and sourcing
- Voltage source inverter and rectifiers design
- PCB design and simulation
- Hardware requirement development
- PCB design and simulation and validation
- Participates in project planning and execution using Agile methodologies
Qualifications:
- Minimum B.S. in electrical, or related engineering with 8+ years of power electronic hardware design and development experience
- Direct hands-on experience with analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit analysis, simulation, design, test, debug, signal integrity, power, grounding and general board layout principles
- Advanced understanding of semiconductor devices for power electronics
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with minimal oversight

- Knowledge in lower level firmware development of embedded system.
- Knowledge in C, C++
- Knowledge in FPGA
- Knowledge in board level communication, such as I2C, SPI
