Looking for an opportunity to work at an established company in the aerospace industry?

Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for a Quality Engineer to partner with the internal teams, suppliers and customers.  Making sure production of electrical/electronic products is consistent and meets AS9100 standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Production data analysis to review for process improvements for SMT.
  • Root cause analysis and recommends corrective actions.
  • Be a customer advocate, stopping production if serious product defects are present and collaborating with the Value Stream team for resolution.
  • Be a subject matter expert in the Value Stream team and mentor others.
  • Create reports regarding non-conformance of products or processes, root cause analyses, or quality trends; recommend actions, and participate in team driven resolution.
  • Be up to date with current studies, standards, and trends in the industry.
  • Identify key process characteristics and deployment of SPC, sampling procedures and control plans to reduce product variation.
  • Manage qualification of product and process changes to ensure only the highest levels of quality are accepted.
  • Be an area focal for quality audits with Defense, Aerospace and Customer Auditors.
  • Support failure analysis and reliability testing as required.  Engage in FRACAS process to drive lessons learned from field failure and repair data into engineering design improvements.
  • Review and approve Engineering Change Orders, Manufacturing Change Order, and deviations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • Understanding of AS9100 standards
  • SMT Process Improvement experience
  • Design assurance activities
