Job Description

Major technology company is seeking a software analyst to work together with the Software(SW) development team, the test team, and other Configuration Management Specialists to ensure that all software is properly configuration controlled and delivered to our customers in a timely manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will work together with the SW development team, the test team, and other Configuration Management (CM) specialists to ensure that all Mission Systems software is properly configuration controlled and delivered to our customers in a timely manner.
  • Work together closely with the Software Configuration Management (SCM) Department Lead – taking guidance and tasking on a day-to-day basis.
  • Manage, release, and archive Software baselines.
  • Create and distribute media.
  • Mentor software development team to use approved software quality process and work instructions.
  • Administer internal software change control board to approve and implement source tool configuration changes.
  • Build, release and prepare Software/Firmware customer deliverables.
  • Administer software source tools and implement source code control management best practices.
  • Create and maintain program branch automated build definitions.
  • Orchestrate the review and updates of software quality process for continued process improvement.
  • Collect and format quarterly software metrics to Quality Management.
  • Participate in CMMI re-certifications and other audits.

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related discipline and three or more years of progressive government or commercial configuration management experience. Equivalent professional government or commercial configuration management experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • A solid understanding of Configuration Management and be responsive to the needs of Project Management, Project Engineering, Software Development, and Software Test is desired.
  • Must be able to ensure that we deliver quality software to our customers in a timely manner.
  • Must possess ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity.
  • Must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings to a variety of audiences including senior management and senior external parties.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server or GitLab administration and Windchill are desired.
