Job Description

Volt has an opening for an Application Developer to develop and implement electronic forms and workflow processes using Adobe suite of products (Some Adobe training may be provided) supporting our client in Millington, TN. 

Responsibilities:

  •  Provide analysis, design, prototyping, programming, testing, documentation and implementation of new and existing applications in large-scale environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. 4 years of relevant work experience will substitute in lieu of degree. Experience developing reports using IBM Business Object tools such as Web Intelligence (Webi)
  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience with web technologies like JavaScript, HTML and XML.
  • Experience with databases (SQL, DB2, etc.) and an understanding of web service protocols (SOAP and REST).

Desired Skills:

  • Possess understanding of Java/JEE, C#, PDF, or Flex/Flash technologies.
  • Use and implementation of Test Driven Development (TDD) best practices and Agile software development methodology.
  • .NET experience and/or training desired

Professional Certification: 

Candidate must obtain, with the client’s assistance, within six (6) months of the hire date, a professional computing environment certification. Typically accepted computing environment certifications include the following:

  • MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional)
  • Microsoft .Net Developer
  • Sun Certified Java Developer
  • MCPD (Microsoft Certified Professional Developer)
  • MCDBA
