Job Description

VOLT is seeking candidate for "Software Application Engineer" role for our client in Greater Seattle. This is a full-time position

Must Haves

C# or C++ or Java (multiple languages)

networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP, L2, L3, switches, routing)

Android or iOS

5 years building software applications+


MSCS or Computer Engineering+


  • Collaborating with management, departments and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications.
  • Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements.
  • Developing, testing and deploying programs and applications.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software.
  • Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance.
  • Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance.
  • Revisit the development process to fix bugs or address client or consumer concerns.


  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of one or more C#, C++ or Java.
  • Networking protocols HTTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP, L2, L3, switching and routing.
  • Network application development experience.
  • Real time embedded systems/software development experience.
  • Android platform development experience.
  • Android and iOS application development experience.

  • Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience designing and building software applications.
  • Proficiency with multiple languages, Java, C++, python.
  • Experience working on complex network-based software projects.
  • Knowledge of C++/object-oriented programs, SQL, web application development, security and open source technologies.
  • Experience with AVB/RTP protocols.
  • Experience with XMOS development.
