Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking a Software Developer to work onsite at our client’s facility in Urbandale, IA. This is a contingent position expected to last 1 year. 

Duties and Requirements:

  • Six or more years of experience in designing and developing Scala/Java applications.
  • One or more years of experience with AWS technologies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (such as Test Driven Development and Acceptance Test Driven Development).
  • Experience with AWS concepts, specifically: Kinesis, Lambda, ECS/EC2, Dynamo, Aurora, SNS, SQS.
  • Virtualization experience with Docker.
  • Experience with AWS Internet of Things (IoT).
  • Experience creating highly scalable applications that need to ramp up and ramp down infrastructure quickly and cost effectively.
  • Candidates with good functional programming and problem solving experience will be given preference as long as they are willing to learn Scala.
  • Will consider candidates who have strong Java background an are willing to ramp up their Scala knowledge within 3-4 weeks.

Must be available to work on W2 for Volt. No C2C or 3rd Party Vendors Please.
