Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a Software Architect for our client in College Park, MD

You will be part of a team that supports The Navy Forge Program supports the evolution of software architecture for the Navy’s Aegis Combat System as well as the objective to rapidly develop, test, and distribute software upgrades to the Aegis Combat System through a software factory called the Forge.

Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required

Primary Responsibilites:

:•You will develop, document, and refine software architecture while assisting the development of processes/procedures to sustain and evolve the Government’s Software Architecture and Refactoring
• You will Coordinate with government organizations and committees and provide expertise on software architectural approaches such as Service Mesh and Microservices

Experiences you should have are:

•2+ year as a Software Architect
•6+ years of experience developing, testing, and delivering high quality software and systems
•Proficiency in Agile software development
•DEVSECOPS methodology of Continuous Integration, Delivery, Deployment, and Security
•API development and documentation
•Experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS)
•Experience with Service Mesh and Microservice architectures

Some desirable skills that are a plus:

•Familiarity with the Aegis Combat System
•Unified Modeling Language (UML)
•Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
•Test Driven Development (TDD)
•Cybersecurity requirements and controls
•Agile, collaborative environment to produce deliverable products

Education Required:.Completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college/school in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics (STEM field).
