Job Description

Volt has an opening for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to be a key contributor in the implementation of cyber engineering and be involved throughout the full lifecycle of the development program including CONOPs development, requirements development, architecture, design, integration, test, and certification of products with one of our major clients in Sterling, VA.

Required Skills:

  • Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience required
  • Working knowledge of SOC or Cyber Range Operations
  • Technical Writing including development of Use Cases, SOPs, or WIs related to SOC operational roles and tools/applications
  • Experience designing, configuring, or integrating any of the following applications or similar solutions:
    • Forensic (EnCase)
    • Malware (FireEye)
    • ThreatQuotient (ThreatQ),
    • Airwatch (by VMWare)
  • Defining and implementing security requirements based on industry standards
  • Self-starter, thrives in a small team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Industry certifications in IT security, forensics, etc.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with MagicDraw
  • Experience with SysML modeling
  • DOORs and requirements management experience
  • Experience designing, configuring, or integrating any of the following applications or similar solutions:
    • IBM SIEM (Qradar),
    • ForcePoint (CDS,SureView Insider Threat, DLP),
    • Cloudera (HortonWorks),
    • NetScout (Infinistream, Ngenius),
    • Gemalto (SafeNet)
  • Operator or analyst functions such as Forensics, Malware, Penetration Testing, or Threat Hunting
  • Incident response and recovery experience
  • Willingness to travel to the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region
  • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps; Automation (Puppet, Ansible, Chef); Infrastructure-as-Code
