Volt is seeking a Supplier Collaboration Engineer to work onsite at our client’s facility in Tucson, AZ.  This is a contingent position forecasted for one year.   Within this role, you will be the leader and key communicator for various Collaborative Product and Process Development teams to interface with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, and value chain to ensure early supplier collaboration on design for manufacturability, assembly, and costs as well as adherence to APQP guidelines.

This role is accountable to meet product cost, quality, and time targets in the product-life cycle including NPI, NSI, and CPI through supplier collaboration at a part number level.  You will manage both the commercial and technical aspects for your responsible part numbers, ensuring supply for both OE and Aftermarket requirements.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in an accredited curriculum, OR an Associate’s degree and 1+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or Purchasing/Logistics roles

Technical Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering disciplines, and quality processes
  • Technical background, with the ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
  • Excellent data analytics skills and the ability to run/streamline multiple reports and data packs
  • Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
  • Proficient knowledge of computer software such as; MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint
  • Proficient knowledge in MRP systems such as; SAP, CBS, LogNet

Top candidates will also have:

  • Supplier development experience
  • Understanding or MRP and SAP systems
  • Knowledge and application of APQP

*** This position will ideally be located at our client’s facility in Tucson, AZ but Denison or East Peoria locations are also acceptable. Candidates must be able to relocate to one of these locations at their own expense.  ***

Must be available to work on W2 for Volt.  No C2C or 3rd party vendors please.
