Job Description

Volt is looking for an Supplier Quality Engineer to work on-site with our customer John Deere located in Fargo, ND in a contingent position forecasted for 8 months. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will works closely with external suppliers to ensure that products designed and manufactured for John Deere Electronic Solutions meet established quality levels through the use of proven quality controls / quality assurance methods and tools. Ensuring quality activities and plans are formulated and followed and engage in applying quality tools in the development of updated designs and in investigations into root causes of warranty and factory failures. Effectively assist the company in assuring suppliers meet the requirements of the John Deere Supplier Quality Manual and effectively assist in continuous improvement in all areas of the supply base.

Requirements:

  • Ideally looking for local candidates or candidates from comparable climate to Fargo, ND.
  • Typical shift M-F 8 hour day shift, flexible hours to support project needs
  • Ideal candidate could possibly lead to future opportunity projects, if not full time opportunity.
    Ideal Skills Needed:
  • Excellent communication skills: must be capable of communicating with internal and external departments, suppliers, and customers in an effective manner.
  • Knowledge of standard quality management principles and tools (FMEA, SPC, Root Cause, and Capability Studies)
  • Understanding of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis
  • Experience with drawing and schematic interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
