JOB PURPOSE

The System Analyst will be responsible for monitoring the Production, Acceptance, Development or other environments of the infrastructures and services used throughout the bank ensuring that service levels are maintained. The operator will be a focal point for logging, assessing, categorizing, prioritizing, carrying out basic first line analysis, coordinating resolution and follow-up of new Incidents for alerts and support calls from other internal support groups in line with agreed procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze system/manual alerts and react as required by the documented procedures.
  • Raise, assign, escalate and follow up Operational Incidents in accordance with the company's Incident Management process; performs tracking and management of Incidents to resolution.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to Incidents at all times. Ensure the communication of Incidents and status updates are of high quality and contain accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Execute routine support procedures and batch processes; monitor results to ensure batch production completion within service level guidelines.
  • Generate and distribute reports in accordance with the Incident Management procedures and TOC standards.
  • Provide input and feedback for the development and improvement of communications, processes and procedures.
  • Perform administrative tasks for NOC Tools, contact, escalation and mailing lists and other documentation or systems.
  • Participate in shift rotation for 24 x 7 x 365 operation.
  • Follow all documented procedures to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • May be assigned to maintain logs or journals pertaining to information regarding activities performed to pass on to next shift, update and maintain statistics information for department management use or cross-training into other operator shifts.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or A+ Certified or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to coordinate major incident communication efforts using established documented procedures.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities -- knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Requires Vocation or Technical Training in Computer Operations or Operations Management.
  • Associate, Vocation or Technical Degree in Computer Operations or Operations Management preferred.
  • Requires 2+ years of Operator I experience or two years' experience in an equivalent work environment.
  • Previous relevant work experience. Computer operations experience preferred; previous experience working in shifts is mandatory.
  • Experience working in a framework of formal Incident Management processes and exposure to company-wide ticketing systems are essential.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
  • Working knowledge of monitoring platforms and applications.
  • Familiar with basic troubleshooting in Windows or Network environments.
  • Proficient written and verbal communications.
  • A+ Certified or equivalent experience.
  • ITIL foundation holder.
