Game design experience?  Our client, a leading defense/technology company, is seeking a Systems Engineer for their location in Indianapolis.  A background in game design would be ideal, as this position will be working on a team that is developing and modernizing training systems.   The selected Systems Engineering will participate in next generation training systems development efforts. The position involves all phases of systems development including concept development, requirements allocation, functional analysis, design reviews, implementation, test, verification and validation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Subject Matter Expertise to a team of Software and Systems Engineers working to develop and modernize training systems, including the development of technical solutions

• Develop and maintain requirements for systems and subsystems

• Develop, maintain and execute Systems Test Plans, as they pertain to training systems

• Support the Business Development Team by providing briefings of products and solutions to the customer (internal and external), interpreting customer requirements and developing solutions

• Communicate and coordinate with technical leadership ensure that customer requirements are properly captured

• Help develop the technical vision and strategies for the program

• Participate in pursuit, program readiness and design reviews

• Attend technical and programmatic meetings with customers, system users, development team members and represent the SE organization in matters pertaining to the project

Requirements:

• Systems Engineer with strong Software Engineering foundations (gaming engine experience preferred, e.g. Unreal Engine 4)

• Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle, experience in Agile development, and experience analyzing and decomposing requirements

• Proven ability to meet project milestones and deliverable on time and within budget

• Demonstrated full knowledge of other related disciplines (e.g. Systems Integration, Software Engineering, Configuration Management, Mission Assurance)

• Experience with software development toolchain (e.g. Git, Perforce helix, Jira)

• Experience in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technologies is desired

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

• B.S degree and 6 years’ experience
