We are looking for what we are calling an infrastructure engineer who has experience running big data platforms in AWS, has launched data pipelines in AWS, and has experience manipulating the data. Everything is automation. Need someone who has extensive AWS experience, a data background, who is into automation and who has software development experience around infrastructure (building and support). This person will have a strong scripting background, but also someone interested in more automation in AWS, building and orchestrating data and is interested in working on data platforms specifically. Will works in an agile environment, delivering the infrastructure components, and who will be understanding the requirements from a software perspective (workflows, data pipelines etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Required Education: BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
• Preferred Education: Computer Science Degree
• AWS- ecosystems, aspect of automation and operations.
• Cloud formation/Terreform
• CICD in the sense they are working with Gitlab/Jenkins or some level of CICD tool
• Experience deploying infrastructure
• Experience with big data platforms- Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, (having big data experience)
• EMR- Elastic Map Reduce- part of the data platforms service within AWS-it’s a service that we use
• Programming Skills Advanced beyond Bash. Not looking for Bash looking for someone who knows Python, Ruby, Java
• Experience writing test cases and deploying pipelines
• Experience with monitoring and operation tooling
