Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Project Lead with an Electrical Engineer background specializing in the development and production of advanced sensor solutions for ground and airborne applications with a focus on embedded firmware and integrated electronics.

This role will lead the design of engineering concepts and turn them into functional prototypes with the goal of productization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, develop and deploy to market intelligent, integrated sensor systems that operate in dynamic environments.
  • Develop and implement innovative embedded control, communications, and data processing algorithms and systems using micro controllers and embedded code, analog and mixed signal circuits, and peripherals and components, sensors, drivers, GPS, Bluetooth and wireless radio modules, cameras, for a wide variety of applications.
  • Responsible for planning and leading the electrical design, system architecture, mentoring and providing strong individual contributions through technical hands on work.
  • Deliver fully functional, quality products as a sole contributor and technical leader on time and within budget that meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Potential to work directly with our customers, face to face and remotely through technical meetings, presentations, reports, and technology demonstrations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+ years of electro-mechanical systems design or R&D experience, or a master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in E-CAD, Altium (preferred) or Eagle
  • 3+ years of hands-on advanced sensor design and development to solve challenging problems for unattended field operations.
  • Experience with in-situ sensing technologies, such as weather, air quality, LIDAR, RADAR, and/or acoustic sensing preferred.
  • Fluent with C/C++ in embedded and standard computer architectures.
  • Experience in leading multiple projects simultaneously and meticulously tracking milestones.
  • Work military hardware and products is a plus.
