Test Technician 3

Everett, WA

This company located in Everett WA  which is a leader in the design, development, and manufacture of electronics systems for the aerospace industry, is seeking a test Technician 3 for a contingent hire role. The selected candidate will functionally test, trouble-shoot, repair or rework, calibrate and certify a variety of electronic subassemblies, assemblies, and completed units of highest complexity that have failed in previous testing or operational use.  Perform duties using regular or special electronic test equipment in accordance with prescribed procedures, practices and specifications.

Test Technician 3 will assist the test engineering department in maintaining and troubleshooting test equipment to support production; will work with new and difficult units using test equipment in accordance with prescribed procedures; and will help to develop new procedures. The selected candidate  uses metrics to define standards for productivity, quality, and cost.  Incumbent is responsible for meeting all defined standards. Conducts tests and troubleshooting of old and new components, assemblies and systems based on test criteria as established by policies and procedures or written test plans; maintains accurate records of test results and reports results to appropriate development and testing group. Conducts various performance tests of the company’s product in accordance with test criteria established by policies and procedures or written test plans and maintains accurate records of test results. Conducts various comparison tests of competitive products and components in accordance with test criteria established by policies or procedures or written test plans and maintains accurate records of tests results. Level 3 conducts testing and troubleshooting of most complex products. Able to do photo pics on all products.

Prepares prototypes of components assemblies and systems of new and current products. Operates required machinery and equipment in a safe manner, maintains a neat and clean work area, follows established tool and instrument control procedures and maintains accurate records of the installation of these parts and the collection of test site data. Follows all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices. Responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess an Associate’s Degree in Electronics or higher is preferred. Over three years of practical experience working with complex electronic test equipment in troubleshooting and repair. Requires military or trade school training in electronics including digital and analog theory and solid state circuitry. This position is subject to ITAR which requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) or a foreign national eligible to obtain federally mandated authorizations of U.S. export control laws.

Must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, engineering change orders and customer service repair instructions. Requires good verbal communication skills. Familiarity with basic PC operation and common Microsoft Office applications required. Strong focus and attention to detail. Excellent problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision; ability to work effectively as part of a team. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong focus on customer service. Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills in a rapidly changing business environment.
