Do you have experience with Automotive OEMS?

Do you have an in depth understanding of wireless networks/technology, vehicle sub-systems and security principles?

Do you want to work on the most up to date automotive systems, that are revolutionizing cars today?

Position Summary:

Main interface person for testing vehicle interfaces with Automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers, including OTA protocols and OTA security.  Principal vehicle system contacts with OEM and relevant Tier 1 partners.  Works cohesively with Company Quality and Engineering teams to ensure testing results adhere to requirements agreed to by the program.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Validation experience
  • Experience testing Navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, FM/AM and voice recognition domains, Apple car play, Android Auto. Communication is VERY important. 
  • Knowledge on Over the Air Update (OTA) solutions and Telematics modules.
  • Experience creating test cases and executing test cases. 
  • Experience with diagnostic vehicle communication problems. 
  • Infotainment experience would make a good fit, bench testing and vehicle testing of the aftermarket and OEM Head Units including Navigation Systems, Audio Systems, Radio, blue tooth phone testing (Wi-Fi testing, VR, connectivity systems, and HMI testing. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Joint Integration Test plans in accordance to program schedules
  • Execute testing with concise communication internally and externally
  • Prepare and present test strategy documentation to OEMs with SXM methodology in mind.
  • Prepare JIT test case portfolio in accordance to the services offered on the assigned program and ensuring completeness.
  • Possess an understanding of in-vehicle as well as test bench components
  • Possess an understanding of web/mobile applications and their integration internally as well as externally.

Requirements and General Skills:

  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate as well as negotiate with internal/external customers
  • Possess an understand of telematics protocol/interfaces
  • Development and Production support of vehicle-related telematics issues.
  • Remains current with Company internal architecture design strategy.
  • Travel required to OEM and partner locations as necessary
  • Follows team best practices.
  • Supports effective management of costs related to Department budget
  • Perform tasks with moderate supervision
  • Produce artifacts for the assigned program(s) with accuracy and quality driven focus
  • Have strong knowledge of telematics platform with an aptitude of learning enterprise components
  • Shows an aptitude to acquire knowledge about applicable technologies
  • Is viewed by the OEM and internal team as an important technical contributor
  • Capable of leading test activities with OEMs/partners.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Understanding of wireless networks/technology, vehicle sub-systems and security principles.
  • Experience with vehicle communication system tools (CAN, H/W diagnostics tools, etc.)
