Job Description

Volt is currently looking for a Warehouse Lead in the Robbinsville, NJ area for one of our largest clients. The Warehouse Lead is capable of performing all duties in the warehouse and shipping control center and is capable of training other team members on the various duties in the warehouse—forklift operation, shipping, receiving and inventory control.

Essential Functions

  • Assigns tasks to team members.
  • Enforces operational procedures.
  • Provides guidance, support and direction to warehouse team members.
  • Covers breaks and lunches for warehouse team members.
  • Cross trains all team members for warehouse efficiency.
  • Serves as back up for warehouse supervisor.
  • Supports a safety-first philosophy.
  • Inspects physical condition of warehouse equipment and the warehouse itself, ensuring maintenance and housekeeping is occurring as scheduled.
  • Works with production supervisors to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with production activities.
  • Reports higher level issues to warehouse supervisor or manager.
  • Performs cycle counts.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 2 Years – Experience in Position
    • 2 Years – Experience managing people/projects
    • Strong knowledge of ERP or MRP systems.
  • Competent with all warehouse processes, procedures and equipment.

Education

  • Minimum Required:
    • High School Diploma

Shift: 2nd Shift Position

Pay: $18/hr for regular time | $27/hr for OT
