Job Description

Volt is hiring for a direct hire position for one of it's client;s in the Apex area. This position, is full time with a 40 plus hour work week. Work schedule is Mon-Fri, additional hours during the weekends might be necessary to include overtime as needed.

Summary

Maintenance Technician will support operations at the Apex Distribution Center.  Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility, to include mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and HVAC troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to determine root cause
  • Use manuals, technical documents and other resources to research and address equipment issues
  • Perform routine and complex repair of equipment and systems
  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instruments and equipment
  • Maintain equipment parts and supplies inventory
  • Follow established Safety practices and procedures
  • Comply with OSHA safety and health rules
  • Other duties as assigned

Skill Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities and equipment maintenance
  • Line maintenance experience
  • PLC programmable, replacement and troubleshooting experience
  • 480v 3 phase wiring experience
  • Self- starter, able to follow direction with little supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in/on elevated lifts up to 50 feet
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and additional hours/overtime as needed
