Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is actively recruiting for a Consumer Care Coordinator in Foothill Ranch.

 The 2nd Shift DC Ops Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a stand-up forklift to retrieve, move, stage, restage, and put away pallets as required to support Shipping and DC Ops requirements. They operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods

Duties and Responsibilities 
• Prior to using equipment, performs operations and safety checks including battery, brakes, lift controls, fluids, etc. Signs off on daily equipment check list certifying everything is in good working condition.

• Receives direction from the Lead and or Supervisor regarding the area of responsibility to support the schedule of inbound containers and shipping workload for the day.

• Safely drives forklift to assigned area and proceeds with required pallet moves. • Moves and stages pallets as necessary to build temporary order picking setups.

• Assists shipping personnel when needed with moving, stacking, unstacking and staging product.

• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with other employees, leads, supervisors and managers.

• Safely handles pallets and materials using a forklift or other power equipment. • Use radio frequency equipment for communication as required.

• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials neat, clean and orderly fashion.

• Utilizes and maintains product movement processes and procedures in a timely and accurate matter.

• Shows a willingness to make decisions.  Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.  Supports and explains reasoning for decisions.

• Follows instructions.  Responds to leads direction, supervisors, and management.  Takes responsibility for own actions and commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.

• Helps maintain supplies necessary to ensure efficient operation of warehouse and adheres to Hampton’s safety and housekeeping standards.

• Performs tasks or other necessary assignments not related to mentioned job description to meet the common objectives of the company.

• Adheres to Hampton’s safety and housekeeping standards. 

Positive Type/Expected Hours of Work:

 Scheduled Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm. Typical Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm 

• 1 to 2 years minimum experience in warehouse or related field.

• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Must have the ability to read comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  

Must have ability to write simple correspondence and have the ability to communicate effectively in English one on one and small group situations with customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are desirable, but not required.

• Must be Forklift certified, or have the ability to obtain forklift certification.
