Position: 2nd shift Human Resources Assistant

Location: Mooresville, IN

Status: 6 month contract to hire

Working Environment: Office and manufacturing plant

3-Week Training Period Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM; after training the shift goes to Tuesday to Saturday from 3pm - 10:30 pm

Our customer in Mooresville is seeking a contract to hire HR Assistant to work on-site within their Human Resource Department. This position will report directly to the HR Manager and have their hands on various HR functions including interdepartmental communication, training, prompt resolution of requests and questions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

HR Assistant will coordinate scheduling, and on-boarding of new personnel. The HR Assistant will be responsible for maintaining employee records, filing, data entry, maintain employee files, conduct workplace presentations, scheduling, and setting up training. Conducts benefit orientations, and process health benefit applications and enrollments. The HR Assistant may help in a variety of HR related tasks across the facility/plant as needed. Possess a strong focus on health and safety in the workplace.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 5-years of business or HR experience (preferably in manufacturing, warehouse or industrial work environments)
  • Bilingual-Spanish speaker preferred
  • Excellent communicator, an individual who is skilled at conveying and interpreting information, ideas or policies to the workforce
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to multitask
  • Must be able to adhere to HIPAA Laws, FLSA, Labor, OSHA, EPA, ISO, and EEOC laws
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills to solve workplace issues about human resource matters and day-to-day operations
  • Impeccable attendance record
  • Fast learner who enjoys a new challenge
  • Self-sufficient
  • Team player – ability to work independently and as a team to meet goals of the department and organization
  • Reliable transportation
