Production Supervisor

Volt Workforce Solutions has a great job opportunity. Our client is reputable and health- conscious company in the food manufacturing industry. This is a Temp to Hire position.  We are looking for a team member that can lead a production workforce, following the assigned schedule and ensuring that the product is prepared, packed and held properly.  


  • Works 2nd shift
  • Complies with the specifications of the produced product including but not limited to verification of formulas, materials and production methodologies
  • Leads and assists personnel to guarantee and efficient preparation of product and completion of production
  • Certifies that productivity and safety goals are met buy/and keeping up with the daily production schedule; maintains equipment downtime to a minimum
  • Follows company policies and procedures to meet objectives; proactively adjusts and executes changes in priorities
  • Directs, trains and disciplines employees as needed and maintains open communication
  • Executes and verifies compliance of documentation pertaining to HACCP, efficiency, quality and safety programs
  • Reports and initiates action of all food safety and quality issues as these arise
  • Knows and applies GMP’s, Allergen Program, Food Safety Quality, HACCP, Sanitation and any other Food Safety Guidelines
  • As needed, acts as backup on the production floor
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment in a production capacity or similar
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Packaging programming training program
  • Basic math knowledge to do calculations and measurements
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate machinery
  • Lift 50 to 70 pounds
  • Read and speak basic English   
  • Knowledge and understanding of SQF program principles, policies and procedures
  • Proven strong safety record
  • Leadership skills to work well, communicate and command respect of others
