2nd Shift Production Technicians needed!

POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform a variety of general labor tasks including but not limited to visual inspection,
measurement, gauging, stacking, deburring, sanding, lifting and moving materials,
assisting in the operation of machinery and equipment, and other activities in a helping
or assisting mode.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Work from specific verbal or written instructions and standard operating practices to
perform operations at assigned area (gauging, stacking, deburring, etc.)
*Provide feedback/suggestions for improvement on work instructions and processes
*Recognize variations from proper equipment/machine performance and seek
 corrective assistance when other than normal adjustments are required
*Recognize trends in data (run charts, distribution charts, etc.) that indicate product
 quality concerns and seek corrective assistance when other than normal adjustments
 are required
*Recognize any unsafe conditions and report to supervisor, lead, or other
  management representative immediately
*Maintain accurate records and logs as required
*Accurate data entry in to company ERP system
*Use of inspection microscope for visual inspection of product to ensure they meet
  quality requirements
*Use of micrometer and caliper for product measurement to ensure they meet quality
  requirements.
*Load and unload parts, and move materials within the plant by carrying, pushing,
  rolling or operating material handling equipment.
*Understand and meet or exceed production standards (quality and quantity) for
  area(s) assigned
*Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:
*High school diploma or equivalent preferred
*Knowledge of various tools, equipment and materials used in production
*Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
  with enthusiasm
*Acute attention to detail
*Computer skills – to enter daily production
*Effective English language skills – both written and spoken

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
*Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole     numbers,common fractions, decimals, and percentages. Experience in statistical analysis.


READING SKILLS:
*Ability to read, write and comprehend materials in English.


REASONING ABILITY
*Ability to apply 'common sense' understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
 written, oral, or diagram form. The employee is required to collect, interpret, and/or
 analyze complex data and information

 most of their time on the production floor where temperatures may be warm in   summer months and cool in winter months; dust is present.
*Employees are responsible for wearing appropriate personal protective equipment   (PPE) for the job.
