Local company is looking for a Warehouse/Forklift driver to work primarily in their cold storage areas.  


*Ensure the delivery, shipment, and consistent quality of perishable products with the execution of standards and operating procedures to maximize profitability and ensure achievement of all goals.


*Ensure accuracy and timely processing of customer orders and the receiving of product from various suppliers by reviewing Purchase Orders (PO ), Bills of Lading (BOL) and Work Orders
*Assist with loading and unloading of trucks for all deliveries and shipments
*Ensure accuracy of product transfers between locations at time of shipment
*Assist in the maintenance of the cycle count program and accurate counting of finished product
*Participate in monthly complete physical inventory counts
*Assist in protecting the finished goods inventory assets of the Company and protect against product loss
*Assist in ensuring that the warehouse, equipment, shipping and receiving, refrigerated and freezer areas are kept clean and free of hazards, and are working properly reporting any issues immediately
*Complete data entry reports

*Must safely operate forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks, and REACH lift
*Must comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and any/all established processes , whether established by manager, by the company or by law as well as assist with the communication, training, and enforcement of these
*Must work in a safe manner and comply with all health, safety, security and emergency requirements that are communicated, whether established by manager, by the company or by law
*Must communicate any safety hazard to a member of management
*Must comply with all Company policies communicated through your Employee Manual, trainings, notice boards or other postings, or by a member of management
*Must participate in weekly team meetings, biweekly huddles, safety meetings and other Company meetings as requested
*Must ensure work is produced in the most sustainable manner
*Must maintain excellent attendance and work ethic
*Must have scheduling flexibility to work different shifts when required and to work weekends to support operation of a 24/7 facility
*Other duties as required


Education and Experience:
*High school diploma or some college certifications preferred
*Previous warehouse experience and materials management in a food processing business is preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

*Demonstrated ability to perform shipping and receiving activities, and equipment maintenance, as well as in dealing with general freight shipments and deliveries

*Ability to operate varied warehouse equipment including, but not limited to: power and manual pallet jacks, electric and propane forklifts, and shrink wrapper
*Must possess high quality work ethic
*Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment, to calmly respond to employee, customer, and equipment problems or other failures, and use sound judgment to find solutions
*Must possess a strong attention to detail

*Must possess a comprehension of basic math calculations
*Must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication with all reports and co-workers, treating each with dignity and respect at all times, and be able to maintain a positive working environment
*Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, be resourceful and creative, and problem solve with sometimes limited direction. 

*Prefer those that are computer literate and also possess a basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, HRIS software programs. Prior experience using an ERP (Navision) software a plus
*Prefer those familiar with or that have an aptitude for smart technology, particularly iPhone/iPad, and willingness to expand technical knowledge in these areas.

*Prefer those who can communicate verbally in English and Spanish with cross-functional team members, supervisors and other team members

*Must be able to adapt and learn new skills in order to stay proficient in operations needed to perform essential functions of this position
*Willingness to help in urgent situations
Schedule flexibility:

Ability to work any shift and/or weekends to support operation of a 24/7 facility; due to business needs schedules may change without notice


*Working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. Extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and stooping, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands, and fingers. – Repetitive at times.

*The senses of being able to see, hear and have full power of speech are required

*The ability to climb and balance is essential

*Ability to withstand temperatures ranging from -10° to 100° Fahrenheit

*Ability to withstand noise produced by manufacturing and warehouse machinery up to 90 decibels *Ability to lift, hold and/or carry 55 pounds, unassisted

*Ability to work on a computer and look at a computer screen for extended periods of time
