Job Description

Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an Accounting Assistant/Receivables.  This is a contingent position forecasted for about 1 Year with our client located in Nashville, TN.


The main function of an accounting assistant is to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. A typical accounting assistant is responsible for a wide range of technology and can work in areas closely related to computers. Job Responsibilities: Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers. Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures. Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.


Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking. Ability to work independently and manage one?s time. Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed. Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in accounting or related financial discipline preferred. 2-4 years financial and/or accounting experience required.


  • A High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate is required
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in cash applications are recommended
  • Previous work experience
  • Demonstrates ability to resolve complex problems and perform reconciliations on customer accounts
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze procedures and integrate them with systems to make processes more efficient
  • Proven knowledge of all interacting departments within the NABC and CFSL
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to seek out relevant information.
