Job Description

Volt is looking for an AR Analyst/Collector for B2B to work with our client, located in Nashville, TN. Our client is American Fortune 500 Corporation that designs, manufactures, and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products.

This is an estimated 6 months position in Nashville, TN and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. Volt is a world-class leader in the staffing services marketplace. Volt provides Contingent Staffing, Contingent-to-Hire, and Managed Service Programs to a variety of companies, including the Fortune 1000. Volt supplies workforce design solutions in Engineering, Information Technology, Scientific, Technical/Professional and other disciplines.

Position Summary:

  • Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete.
  • Responsible for a wide range of technology and can work in areas closely related to computers.
  • Typically has a High School diploma, at minimum, and experience with totaling accounts, computing interest charges, and monitoring loans and accounts for paid status. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Instruct staff on the classification, recording, and summarize of numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers
  • Review and approve bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures 
  • Review and approve debiting, crediting, and totaling accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software
  • Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma is required with an Associates’ Degree in accounting or related financial discipline being a plus
  • CSR – Call center experience required
  • 8-10 years financial and/or accounting experience required 
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking 
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time 
  • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback 
  • Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software 

Additional Information:

  • Seeking someone with Business to Business (B2B) collections experience, not someone with experience collecting on past due accounts for patients.
  • Proficient Excel Skills
