Volt Workforce Solutions is currently looking for an Account Auditor for a for a leading investment firm located in downtown Boise!

Job Summary

The Accounts Auditor helps to ensure the success of the incentive programs through data processing, data analysis, rebate allocation and auditing of supplier-funded earned rebate, travel programs, food show allowances, and other programs.  Auditing the authenticity of rebates and all other programs will be accomplished by analyzing sales, rebate, and sku program data supplied by multiple sources, utilizing Excel and other data-analysis tools.  Audit findings will include collecting earned rebates and other program funds from suppliers, via communication: e-mail or phone calls.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Determine earned rebates and other program funds owed through analysis of sales data from various sources.
  • Enter sales and allocated rebate and other program information into the accounting systems for matching to supplier-funded rebates.
  • Audit supplier-funded rebates and other program funds for deviations from contract.
  • Ensure timely collection of supplier-funded rebate and other program monies owed.
  • Ensure unapplied supplier-funded rebate and other program monies are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Maintain close relationships with supplier accounting contacts for transaction processing and collection of missed rebates.
  • Inform Internal Directors within the Category Management group of persistent supplier contract deviations and/or collection issues.
  • Inform Internal Directors of Category Management of suppliers that are non-communicative
  • Monitor sales and rebate reports for early detection of missed sales and rebates.
  • Inform Internal Directors within the Category Management of new products requiring program rates/splits tbd by DCM.


Objectives

  • Maintain accounts receivable balances over 180 days old at less than 8%.
  • Maintain unapplied cash balances at reasonable levels, tracking explanations for unapplied and deciding on a case-by-case basis how to manage unapplied funds.
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed account processing instructions.
  • Maintain up-to-date DPA/Margin information in SOP’s, thereby ensuring current DPA guide and Margin/DPA accruals.
  • Inform DCM’s of program exclusions.
  • Maintain up-to-date shared tracking sheets online.


Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Auditing experience a plus.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of computerized accounting systems, Outlook, Word, and Windows based networks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Self-starter, motivated by successful, timely completion of work.
  • Team player.
  • Attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Some experience or college level education in an accounting field preferred.
